There is a Greek word translated as “rebellion” or “falling away” apostasia, from which we get the English word apostasy. It refers to a general defection, revolt, aka a falling away from the true God, the Bible, and the Christian faith.
Every age has its defectors, but the falling away at the end times will be and worldwide. The end won’t come until the falling away. The whole planet will be in rebellion against God and Jesus the Messiah.
Jesus warned the disciples concerning the final days in Matthew 24:10–12: “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” These are the characteristics of the great apostasy of the end times.
Before the end, there will be a “mass” departing from the faith. People will reject God and truth and believe lies.

The departure of men from the stasis of manhood
The departure of women from the stasis of womanhood
The departure of fathers from the stasis of fatherhood
The departure of mothers from the statis of motherhood
The departure of mankind from the statis of humanity
We need to commit what time we have left on this earth to living for God, standing on His word, and doing all God has called us to do. Things are going to get bad people. It has already begun. We all pray that things will get better, but the Bible says in the end times things will get worse and worse. If we are not on the right side with God as our Lord and stand on His word no matter what we see in this world we won’t be able to stand. God has warned us that people will fall away…don’t you be one of them. We can overcome no matter what we might face while on this earth. Don’t compromise any of God’s word, don’t stretch the word so it says what you want it to say. Stop living in sin and in sinful lifestyles. Don’t compromise the truth so as not to offend someone. Things are going to get really bad out there and we, the children of God, can stand together and stand firm in our walk with God. We need each other. Hang onto God no matter what you see, feel, hear, or have to deal with. We are on the winning side when we stay focused on Jesus and walk in His ways. God didn’t promise us we wouldn’t face problems in this world…quite the opposite…yet many people and many churches are not teaching that. You learn what is true from God’s word and what is not true. Don’t be deceived. The truth is there for us…and we can’t just take people’s word as truth…Many people lie, people exaggerate, people compromise the truth so to cover up their sin and they think there will be no consequences for them …but God does not lie. Don’t give up people no matter how bad this world seems or gets. You stay focused on the Lord.
