Post 34 Welcome to Reality

Seeing reality justifiably makes all the difference in the world. God’s word sheds perfect light on the big picture of his plan to unite all things in his Son. God is reality and His word is truth.  Once we really understand that we can live the way God intends us to live.

God has a plan for each of us.  Our life is not meaningless…it is very meaningful.  [God is] making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. Think on this: There’s nothing in the cosmos that is outside of God’s grand plan, and that makes it a thrill to be alive to him wherever you are in the world, and whenever you are in history. God has a plan for each of us that is unique to us.  No one can be us and we can’t be anyone else.  We are similar because we are humans, but we are truly unique to God.

God wants us to do things His way.  When you were growing up did you want something that your parents said “no” to?  You, of course, ask why not?  But your parents then tell you that it is because “they said so.”  Didn’t you hate that part.  After all  you thought in your little mind somehow you were a wee bit smarter than they are.  But God is the ultimate Father and He gives us rules, laws, and do it this way or that way…because He truly knows what is best for us.

God doesn’t want us to go through needless suffering.  Yet…now understand this…God wants you to choose right.  If you don’t choose right then there are consequences.  We do not have to have as many consequences in our life if we only listen to the creator of the universe…our DADDY.  So it God says go this way, or don’t go that way….shouldn’t we listen?  Now, when God says, “Walk this way,” we do not need to know why. Maybe He will tell us why or why not, but He doesn’t have to.  We are to trust Him, and He never lets us down.

“There’s nothing outside of God’s grand plan, and that makes it a thrill to be alive to him wherever he places us.” We don’t get to choose who our parents will be, where we will be born, what color our skin will be, what country and culture we will be born into. We can’t choose the color of our eyes, the color of our hair, how tall or short we will be.   God will choose that part.

God’s grand plan — affects the way we see our opportunities, trials, roles, joys, hopes, and worries. It makes us willing to endure suffering, patient when we are antsy, and bold to pursue risky ventures for the gospel. If God gives us an assignment then He is in the details of that assignment and no matter where we go or what we do…God will be with us.

Our hearts can be  feeling overwhelmed with the stuff going on in the world today…so when God calls us day-by-day to wake up to the reality he has set in motion it is always in our best interest to listen to Him. How brilliant and colorful our day would look if the eyes of our hearts were open to the hope we have in God!

God’s word will always shed light on what he is doing, helping us to see the big picture of his plan to unite all things in his Son.  Oh, how I wish I would have known Jesus sooner than I did, but I am so thankful that I know Him now.

Our reality is this:  Know Jesus and you will be on the right road.  Don’t know Jesus then your reality for all of eternity won’t be a good thing.  Why would you not want to know Jesus?  Yet, God gave you t he right to choose.  Choose wisely.
