Post 70 Are you ready for the Rapture

Before I even begin, I want to say that many Christians on the timing of the rapture do not agree.  Whichever position you or I take on this is between us and God.  I believe there will be a pre-tribulation rapture.  I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. However, as Christians, we must believe in Jesus, who He is, what He has done, and what He will do.  The timing of the rapture does not make any one of us less of a Christian.

No matter what view you have concerning the rapture you need to be ready.  Being ready is one important decision. This decision affects your walk with God right now, but also where you will spend eternity.  We don’t get a second chance if we don’t belong to Jesus, and we surely don’t want to miss out on heading home with our Lord.

Now, no matter which view you take on the timing of the rapture it will happen.  How do I know this?  Because the Bible tells me that the rapture is coming and I want to be ready.

So, are you ready?  You only have 3 choices here.  Either you are ready yes or no, or you don’t believe in the rapture.  However, you believe you make that choice in your mind.  Doesn’t change the truth that God said, but you always have a choice to believe or not believe.

There is one very important point and that is do you believe in the Lord Jesus?  Is He your Lord and Savior?  Do you do as He wants you to do?  If not, why not? If you have not asked Jesus into your life and heart, today is a great day to do it.  Just ask Him to come into your heart and life. If you don’t want Him in your life He will allow you to make that choice.  Christianity is not a forced thing.  He will honor your choice.

Do you believe the Bible?  Do you take the Bible as truth or not truth?  Why is that?  It can’t be both.  Why wouldn’t you want to believe it, and why wouldn’t you want Jesus to be your Lord?  There are only two you can choose to follow and that is a loving Jesus who died for you or a devil who wants to destroy you.  Hell will not be this party…it is called hell for a reason, but again, it is your choice to whom you follow and that choice is eternal.

A Christian believes in Jesus Christ.  You can’t be wishy-washy on this.  He is either your Lord or He is not.  There is no on again off again Christian. You either believe Him and His word or you do not.  That choice is up to you.

You need to be ready for the rapture no matter which time period you think it will happen.  I believe in the pre-trib because the Bible says that I won’t face the wrath that will be unleashed. The rapture is not for everyone.  It is not for the person or persons who believe God wouldn’t let them miss it, or because they fill like they are a good person who has done many good things in life.  That is not the qualification for heaven or the rapture.  The rapture is for the believers of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  We, who are that are called saints.  We are the church and Jesus is the leader of the church.  So how does one get ready for the rapture anyway?

When we come to the Lord and declare Him our Lord and Savior then Jesus begins a work in our hearts and life.  We become saved and our sins were forgiven.  That is one of the most awesome things to ever happen to anyone.  Our soul becomes secure in Jesus.  That does not mean while we are on this earth that nothing bad will ever happen.  Remember this: We live in a fallen world and stuff happens while here, but our soul is secure with God. If you don’t believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior then you are not ready for the rapture.

We, as Christians, must believe in the hope of where we will spend eternity and that is in the presence of God: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.  One God in Three.  We might not fully understand that but that is not the issue for one day we will.  The thing is we believe in the qualification for getting to heaven and that is that Jesus is our Lord and Savior.

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you,” (John 14:2).  This is amazing.  This is what I long for.  I want to be with my Lord for all eternity.  The apostles believed it, the church believed it, and we need to also believe it for it is truth. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also,” (John 14:3)

If you are a Christian then you believe Jesus lived, died, and rose again and is in heaven.  You also need to believe that His word is truth and He has said He is coming back for His bride/the church.  We need to be ready. Think about this…..if you are not ready you need to get ready right now.  No one knows the day or hour of Jesus’ return no matter who thinks they do.  God said no one but Him, the Father knows, not even Jesus.  When the Father says it is time Jesus will return.  Are you ready?  You need to be.

The snatching away will happen on God’s timetable, not ours. We have a hope, as Christians, that this is coming, and even though we don’t know exactly when we do know we are in the last days.  God’s timetable is His and when He says, “Go Son, for now, is the time”, then Jesus will return for His church.  Be ready.  We will be anticipating His return each day.  We will be studying His word, and growing in Him and we will be ready. Let each of us get into the word of God and do what it says to do.  Our hope comes from the knowledge of who Jesus is, what He has done for us, and what He is going to do.  It is Jesu who saves us from the wrath of the sins we did.

Since we have no date of His return because He said no one knows (nor can anyone predict it), we need to wait.  We wait upon the Lord and stand ready to meet Him in the air, or whenever He decides our time on this earth is up.  We all have a birth date, a live date, and a death date.  The only way we don’t die here on earth one day is that Jesus comes (rapture) and takes us to be with Him.  Death will come unless Jesus returns first.

In living there will be a death date. The only way around that date is if and when our Lord comes for us through the rapture.  If we died being ready for the rapture we will participate in the First Resurrection. We will hear the call of God that Michael will make to awaken all sleeping Christians from slumber (death).  Oh, what a glorious day that will be for all of them who died waiting on the Lord.  They don’t miss heaven!

However, if you are not a Christian you will miss heaven!  There is no other way to say that.  Don’t be that person.  Get ready.  Meet Jesus for real.  You will fall madly in love with Him. If you are not a Christian then you will be lost for all time and where you will be there is no turning back then.  Now is the time to accept Jesus and to get and be ready.   You must be ready before you die for one second after death there is no change of heart or direction.

Well, it is decision time.  Since we don’t know the day or hour of His return for His church I would venture to say that today is the time to make a decision.  He will honor that decision either way.  He doesn’t force us to love Him or choose to spend eternity with Him.  No one can say that they were not given a chance to choose for right now you were given that chance.  We have all made so many mistakes in our life but right now you can change your destiny.  God doesn’t send you to hell despite what some say, you are the one who chooses your destiny.  However, if Jesus is not your Lord and Savior then you will miss heaven and it was by your own choice.  So……….pray………and you be the one who decides.  I pray that you will decide to make Jesus your Lord and Savior and that you will live for Him no matter how bad it might get upon this earth we are temporarily living on.  As for me, I choose Jesus as my Lord and Savior.  Best decision I ever made.  I hope that you make that decision as well.
